Qualifications

To become an official requires a minimum number of conditions. You must be 18 years of age and a high school graduate or holder of a G.E.D. You must be in adequate physical condition and possess a history of integrity, respect, and professionalism.

Expenses and Fees

First year expenses for uniforms will be between $150.00 to $200.00. There is also a registration fee of $70.00 that will include all training manuals, accident & liability insurance, and registration with the GHSA and GAOA. In most cases, officials have the opportunity to make more than enough money in game fees to cover their first year registration and uniform expenses.
